Measurement and Inspection Services

We offer a number of dimensional inspection reports (DIR) , including standard quality documentation

We have 3D scan digital and conventional Tactile CMM (Co-ordinate Measurement Machine) equipment. Turnaround time for each process varies and is dependant on factors like part complexity, number of measurements and part quantities.

 

 

QUALITY INSPECTION REPORT
Competed as part of our standard process, the quality inspection report has measurements of 3 X - Y - Z dimensions at the start of the batch run and at final inspection
Standard Protolabs tolerances apply. This report is complementary upon request.

DIGITAL INSPECTION REPORT
Using a Laser Scanner. We can provide comprehensive 3D data inspections. Full colour plots, feature analysis and more.

CONVENTIONAL INSPECTION REPORT
A detailed report using a calibrated CMM (Co-ordinate Measurement Machine), including unlimited number of dimensions and most GD&T measurement types are also available.

PROTOLABS SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
We can provide supporting document to satisfy FAI (First Article Inspection), PPAP (Production Part Approval) and EMPB (Erstmusterprüfbericht ) requirements. They include the essential documents where applicable to the product, including:

• Cover Sheet (Part Submission Warrant)
• Process Flow, FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
• Control Plan, MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
• Material Certification, and
• IMDS (International Material Data) submission
